FOCUSED ON WHAT MATTERS MOST
Safer Neighborhoods. Stronger Together.
Public safety is about more than responding to crime. It is about building trust, investing in young people, strengthening neighborhoods, empowering residents, and ensuring that the community has a meaningful voice in decisions that affect it.

PRIORITY 1 — PUBLIC SAFETY
Building Trust. Strengthening Safety.
Every resident deserves to feel safe in their home, on their block, and throughout their neighborhood. Dar’tavous believes effective public safety requires collaboration among residents, law enforcement, community organizations, schools, businesses, and neighborhood leaders.
As a District Council member, he will advocate for stronger communication between police and residents, community-informed public safety strategies, responsiveness to neighborhood concerns, and approaches that strengthen both safety and trust.
Safer neighborhoods require both accountability and partnership.
PRIORITY 2 — YOUTH & OPPORTUNITY
Investing in Young People. Building Pathways to Opportunity.
Young people deserve safe spaces, strong schools, mentorship, career exposure, and meaningful opportunities to succeed. Dar’tavous will advocate for stronger connections between young people, schools, community organizations, workforce opportunities, and resources that help them build successful futures. Public safety also means investing early—giving young people the support, relationships, and opportunities they need before challenges become crises.
“When young people have opportunities to thrive, communities grow stronger.”
PRIORITY 3 — COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT
Putting Residents at the Table.
District Councils exist to give communities a meaningful voice in public safety. Dar’tavous believes residents should not simply hear about decisions after they are made—they should help shape the conversation.
He will work to strengthen participation from residents, block clubs, faith communities, businesses, young people, seniors, community organizations, and neighborhood leaders throughout the 2nd District.
“Nothing about our communities without our communities.”
PRIORITY 4 — TRANSPARENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY
Leadership You Can See and Reach.
Residents deserve transparency, responsiveness, and clear communication from the people elected to represent them.
Dar’tavous will advocate for accessible District Council meetings, clear communication about Council activities, follow-through on community concerns, meaningful accountability, and regular opportunities for residents to engage directly with their representatives.
“Your voice should never disappear after Election Day.”
PRIORITY 5 — STRONGER COMMUNITIES
Public Safety Starts With Strong Communities.
Safe neighborhoods are connected neighborhoods. Strong schools, thriving local businesses, youth opportunities, accessible resources, safe public spaces, healthy families, and engaged residents all contribute to community safety.
Dar’tavous will bring a collaborative approach to the Council that recognizes public safety as part of the larger work of strengthening neighborhoods and improving quality of life.
Stronger communities create safer communities.
A COUNCIL THAT LISTENS. REPRESENTS. DELIVERS.
The 2nd Police District deserves leadership that brings people together, listens to residents, and stays focused on solutions.
